Ron Ley run 090723

 

11 riders turned up today at Jonsey’s cafe in Winkleigh for an Ian led Ron Ley run, the weather for the day was not promised to be dry so we thought we had done really well to get this number. After a briefing from Ian and with Cliff and yours truly bringing up the rear we set off on time heading towards Okehampton. It’s always difficult to give a precise route as the villages flashed by quite quickly and Ian had set about testing our lane skills as well as main roads, suffice to say we passed into Cornwall and passed by Dingles fairground museum, Lydford gorge, Bridestowe, Sampford Courtney, Lifton to name a few.

Lunch was at Kitt Hill, ice creams at Roadford reservoir and a finish at Hatherleigh, a very enjoyable day.

Thanks to Ian and to the committee members involved in making the day run smoothly.

Next evening meet is July 25th at The Grampus Inn, Lee, Ilfracombe and the next run August 13th starting at Atlantic village ( Affinity ) Bideford, meet at the upper car park.
