Rescheduled Dartmoor discovery 210925

6 riders arrived at Whiddon down for this years Dartmoor discovery led by Ian who knows it so well. Cliff had to bring his modern BMW as his trusty Honda had a flat battery due to the sat nav trying to find its way in the garage for the past 6 weeks!. The weather was virtually dry but a little chilly and we set off pretty well on time at 1100. Ian led us to Mortonhampstead and then on to the moor where we flashed by Haytor as the first of many we came close too. We arrived at Princetown without mishap for a spot of lunch.

After lunch, Ian decided we had had it too cushy in the morning so a few miles of narrow lanes were on the menu. We were all a bit surprised as to how many people were on the moor in fact, most car parks were full and many people parked on the roadside making negotiating a bit difficult at times.

The run ended at Morton without any problems, next run is October 12th where Cliff will lead us on the Ruby run. Thanks to Ian for the day he really does know his way about. Now there is a meet this Thursday 25th at the Rising sun Umberleigh folks.
